1. Who these terms are with
The site is published by Valt Éditions Digitales SAS, company number (SIREN) 924 617 380, registered office 12 Rue Saint-François de Paule, 06300 Nice, France, contactable at [email protected]. In these terms “we”, “us” and “our” mean that company; “you” means any person accessing the site.
2. What the site is, and what it is not
nimbletcuriousvalt.com publishes editorial travel-planning guidance about regions of France. We are not a travel agency, tour operator, transport provider or booking intermediary. We do not sell travel, take reservations, hold client money or issue tickets. Any contract for transport, accommodation, admission or a guided service is between you and that supplier, on their terms.
Our content is general information, not professional advice. Opening hours, fares, timetables, tide tables, event dates, access rules and safety conditions change frequently and without notice. You are responsible for verifying anything time-sensitive with the official operator, tourist office or authority before you rely on it, and for checking your own visa, insurance, health and travel-advisory requirements.
3. Permitted use and your obligations
You may read, print and share links to our pages for your own non-commercial travel planning. You agree that you will not:
- copy, republish, translate or redistribute substantial parts of the site, or use it to build a competing publication or dataset;
- scrape, crawl at abusive rates, or use automated tools to extract content without our written permission;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its hosting environment or any connected system;
- upload or transmit anything unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or containing malicious code;
- use our contact form to send bulk commercial solicitation, link-building requests or automated submissions;
- misrepresent your identity or imply an endorsement, partnership or affiliation with us that does not exist.
When you send us a message you confirm that the information in it is accurate and that you are entitled to share it. You are responsible for keeping your own devices and email account secure.
4. Intellectual property
All editorial text, page structure, layout, stylesheets, scripts, illustrations, inline vector graphics and the Nimbletcuriousvalt name and mark are owned by us or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and related rights. Nothing in these terms transfers any of that ownership to you. Short quotations with clear attribution and a working link to the source page are permitted; wholesale reproduction is not.
Photographic placeholders served from third-party image services remain the property of their respective rights holders and are used under those services’ terms. Names of transport operators, tourist boards, towns and institutions mentioned in our guides belong to their respective owners and are used descriptively, for identification only. If you believe material on this site infringes your rights, write to [email protected] identifying the material and the right concerned, and we will review it promptly.
If you send us a suggestion, correction or planning question, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use the substance of it to improve our guides. We will not publish your name, email address or any identifying detail from your message without asking you first.
5. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the site available and current, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. We may edit, replace or withdraw any page, change the structure of the site, or suspend access for maintenance, security or editorial reasons without notice. To the extent permitted by law we give no warranty that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, or that any particular result will be achieved by following our guidance.
6. Third-party links
Our guides link to external sites such as national rail booking services, municipal tourist offices and reference resources. Those links are provided for your convenience and do not imply endorsement or any commercial relationship. We do not control external sites and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, pricing or policies.
7. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud. Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost bookings, missed connections, wasted expenditure or loss of enjoyment;
- we are not liable for any act, omission, cancellation, delay, overbooking, price change or safety incident involving a third-party supplier, operator or venue;
- our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the site and these terms is limited to one hundred euros (€100), reflecting that access to the site is provided free of charge.
If you are a consumer, your statutory rights under mandatory local consumer law are unaffected by this clause.
8. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against reasonable losses, costs and claims arising from your breach of these terms, your unlawful use of the site, or any third-party claim caused by material you submitted to us.
9. Termination
You may stop using the site at any time. We may restrict or block your access, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms, placed an unreasonable load on our infrastructure, or acted unlawfully towards us or other users. Clauses on intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law survive termination.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms and any dispute arising from them or from your use of the site are governed by French law. We would always prefer to resolve a complaint directly: write to [email protected] setting out the issue and what you would like us to do, and we will respond within thirty days. If a dispute cannot be resolved that way, the courts of Nice, France have jurisdiction, save that if you are a consumer resident in another country you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence where mandatory local law gives you that right.
11. General
If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the remainder continues in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the entire agreement between us regarding the site. We may update them from time to time; the version published on this page at the moment you use the site is the version that applies.
